ONLY THE STRONG IN CHRIST WILL SURVIVE is a play that hits home with many women in domestic abuse. It looks at a Christian woman who remains in a relationship of repeated physical and mental abuse using the word of God as the reason even though God has allowed escape. Seperated from her estranged husband, Phyllis waits on his return to resume her marriage even after the plea from her son to let him go. Scared that his father will hurt his mother, Johnny struggle with the decision to kill him when he finds his father drunk on a park bench one night.This production cries out to women whether Chrisitan or not to release that hold on devastating abusive relationships that knows no love or compassion and continues to endanger the lives of their children and themselves.
